In what turned out to be a game where the pendulum oscillated back and forth, skipper Pratik Shelar’s Stockholm XI managed to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat against Sandeep Baravkar’s Blue Warriors XI.
SGPL aka Smart-I Group Premier League’s annual cricket tournament was organized on 8th March 2022. It happened at the Sonale Cricket Ground, Bhiwandi. The grand finale saw a scintillating performance from Omkar Padyar. The charismatic player scored the highest runs and also become the joint-highest wicket-taker along with Pratik Shelar.
The intense match was filled with lots of boundaries, wickets and athletic catches being taken. The award for the most sixes went to Rohit Wafelkar, while Sandeep Baravkar won the award for hitting the most boundaries.
Abhishek Gupta won the award for taking the most number of catches on the field. Sunil Harvate won the “Best Field” award.
Additionally, the competition also witnessed a great battle between the girls. Krutika Nichal’s Rainbow Warriors were declared the winners of the final, while Tejal Shinde’s Warrior Girls came a close second. Sonali Vaiti was adjudged the “Player of the Tournament”.
