NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY 

  1. The NSM will lead & manage the team to achieve Sales plan across the country, driving revenue growth & market share for our line of products administering the company polices through the team.
  2. Create & implement national sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets across national market. The role involves leading the sales team, identifying market opportunities & fostering relationships with key clients & stakeholders. Go getter in implementing effective sales strategies, analyse market trends & competitive landscape to expand opportunities.
  3. Strong selling, negotiating, analysing skills, cost optimization, & oversee metrics to refine & improve overall strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Collections:

  1. Plan and finalise Annual Revenue Budgets in consultation with Regional Sales Managers/Sales Managers.
  2. Achieve product wise, category wise sales targets.
  3. Develop sales strategies, drive revenue growth & analyse market trends & brand positioning.
  4. Ensure collection as per monthly commitment.

Channel:

  1. Build & maintain strong relations with key accounts & channel partners.
  2. Network expansion, correction & channel management strategies for each product category.
  • Track sales revenue generation & performance metrics & strategies for market expansion.
  1. Conduct promotion activities to boost brand awareness and sales.

Process:

  1. Sales and Collection.
  2. Channel Management.
  3. Channel Development.
  4. Market/Reach Expansion.
  5. Sales Admin
  6. Competition Analysis

People:

  1. Review performance of team and provide necessary feedback for performance.
  2. Ensure maximization of productivity and provide mentorship regularly.
  3. Identify, Track & Nurture succession planning.
  4. Ensure higher inter-personal relations among team members.
  5. Ensure employee engagement by identifying latent needs and motivation.

Working Capital Management:

  1. Ensure effective debtors management by fixing credit limits, monitor total and overdue debtors.
  2. Create strategies to liquidate old stock & pending payments.
  3. Monitor collection of expired BGs / EMDs.

Inter-Department Relations:

  1. Ensure cross functional efficiency between Sales, Service, Finance, Logistics, HR and Product management for smooth functioning.

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  1. Graduation – Regular or B.Tech with MBA (Preferable).
  2. ­Expertise in similar products, solutions and their markets.
  3. ­Strong business acumen.
  4. Preferably has handled P&L of a business / vertical.
